Prior to entering the field, technicians are required to complete a comprehensive five-week training program. In addition to instruction in the classroom, technicians get hands-on field experience with a certified trainer. All employees go through a national background check, motor vehicle check and pre-employment drug screen as well as random drug screens.
AM Communications believes that safety is everyone’s responsibility. We provide our team with the knowledge, tools and resources necessary to operate and complete their work in a safe manner.
Our internal training program was developed using federal and industry guidelines from organizations such as OSHA. Our safety materials are regularly updated, and changes are communicated to our team through monthly safety meetings and mandatory training sessions. We also create individualized safety training modules for specific projects. Key items included in our training program include:
- Safety and technical course materials in accordance with NCTI and SCTE standards.
- Classroom training to establish proper safety habits and knowledge, basic installation skills and to provide a controlled hands-on learning environment.
- Throughout the training program there are key checkpoints at which an individual is tested and assessed. Testing is completed online and tracked using an internal database.
The AM Communications team of elite traveling technicians are experienced with launching new markets and new products. Last year alone, our team visited over 150,000 residential and commercial accounts. We provide the scalable resources so that our technicians can continue to exceed customer expectations.
AM Communications has a company-owned fleet of new and late model vehicles. Our ongoing relationship with a fleet leasing and procurement company allows us the flexibility to add vehicles to meet our growth requirements. All vehicles are equipped with the tools our employees need to get the job done right.
